Halloween Illo
A little vector drawing I did for the witching season. Unfortunately (as usual) life got in the way of me posting it on time. C'est la guerre, I suppose.

Big Brother 2006
I admit it. I'm an addict. I thoroughly enjoy this annual spectacle. I see it as a modern version of the ancient roman games. I have no compunction in hurling vitriol at these media whores who sign up each year for the fight to the death. Or bitch to the death as it is this year. Send in the lions I say.
The early runaway winner this year seems to be Pete. Despite his Tourettes he talks more sense than the rest put together. And despite his chosen arena, he seems like a very likeable bloke.
Pete is himself a cartoonist. So by way of support I want to post this.
C'mon, wee man!!

Gotham Nights
Been networking today I building up my contacts list.
Also managed to sell my old car registration for £150. (the car's probably not worth that).
Anyway, here is the man made completely out of bats. It's interesting how dark the sketch looks on my PC monitor. It was drawn on the Mac & I use an old 21'' monitor with it. The colours are a lot more subtle there.

It's late. It's always late when I turn to my blog.
Truth to tell I have had a lot of work on lately. I have been preparing tonight for a work meeting tomorrow which I hope will be fruitful.
I'll just post this work in progress. She is Ellen. This is my gift to her. At present she is on the other side of the world with doting mum & dad.

It seems somehow right that as I am posting Mega City's top Judge here that New York's finest - Judge Judy - is on television in the background.
This is all done in Illustrator and, unusually for me, all done onscreen. Usually I scan a thumbnail sketch first. But since I have grown up with Joe Dredd here since this month 29 years ago, I suppose I know him well enough. The best Dredd artist bar none is Ian Gibson. I hope you can see his influence here.
