A work in progress. I haven't drawn the Man of Steet before so I wanted to try a head & shoulders study.

On The Drawing Board website, Francesco Francavilla, a most talented individual, posted an Open Thread inviting contributors to post their take on his character The Black Coat. His comic has gone to press & I wish him well.

So here is my interpretation. All in Illustrator.

It's late. It's always late when I turn to my blog.

Truth to tell I have had a lot of work on lately. I have been preparing tonight for a work meeting tomorrow which I hope will be fruitful.

I'll just post this work in progress. She is Ellen. This is my gift to her. At present she is on the other side of the world with doting mum & dad.
